Numerical Page links on front page do not work

I love Magazine Premium, an excellent upgrade from Basic (which I also thought was great).

However, one problem - on the front page of my site, the additional page numbers after all the posts (eg Page 1 of 6 1 2 3 ... 6) link to pages that do not exist. For example, this gets a page not found error:

http://ca.nberra.com/page/2/

Not sure if this is something I need to sort out at the web hosting end, because if the link looked like this, it would work:

http://ca.nberra.com/index.php/page/2/

Any ideas?

Alternative to More Tag and Nextpage Command

When I need to break up a long post I can use the More tag built into Wordpress or insert the html command

The problem with the More tag is that it doesn't tell you how much more. It works fine for a two page post, but for a multi-page post it would be nice to have the page numbering style you get elsewhere in the Magazine Premium theme.

The html command

gives you the page numbering, but not in a very attractive style.

Is there a method to achieve what the

command accomplishes, but with the page numbering style you get elsewhere in the Magazine Premium theme?

How can I (or can I) use "custom template for single posts" in Premium?

The search box on my website www.fratellowatches.com is very small. I want to have it a bit wider, let's say around 200px. I did a search on wordpress.org and fiddled around with some of the css files but didn't manage to get it done. Anyone?

How to Put Comment Count on Front Page

I tried to follow the instructions in this post (http://themes.bavotasan.com/support/discussion/53) to get a comment count on the front page of Magazine Basic but I can't find the files referenced. I'm thinking those instructions were for an older version.

In any case, can someone please instruct me on how to get a comment count on the posts on the front page of the current version of Magazine Basic?

Adding a title to the footer ad space

sidebar issue

I saw this same question while browsing the forum but no one has answered it.

I have a home page layout of sidebar-main content - sidebar.
The left side bar is fine. The right side bar is UNDER the content page. This is only happening on the Front page. If I click on the "read more" from the front page, the full page post looks fine with each sidebar on either side of the middle column.

How do I fix this?

How to display search box in a page

I could not find an appropriate section to post my query and hence had to open a new discussion.

I have a weird query. I want to display search box in a page i.e. only a search box and no other contents. The idea is to make this as my index page (something similar to google.com) where only search box will appear. I hope someone will have an answer to this.

Layout in main menu

Just reduced the number of categories in my main menu from 10 to 7. It now does not fill the menu properly. Can I space things out so they fit better? Don't want to do it by increasing font siwe, as that looks klunky.

Hi, I am using the Magazine Basic theme and I love it! But, I use it in another language (not English). So I want to change the comments field. I don't want it to say "Name", but "Ime" or "Who are you?" or something else. This is not in the comments.php file, actually I don't know where it is. So how can I change them?

How do you cause "HOME" on Navigation Menu to go to the main page

Mag Flow : Column Padding

In the layout options I have the site width set to 1200px and I would like to have 4 columns, and that would come out to setting the columns under (front page in the layout section) to 300px and it looks great, except that the 4 - 125x125 ads go vertical under that setting.

Where in style.css do I change the column padding/margins, etc. so that the space between the columns are a bit smaller so that the 125px ads aren't vertical and display as they should with 2 on top and two on bottom?

change the sidebar widths in child theme

hallo..i have been working on a website building a child theme for magazine-basic.
I want to resize the sidebars giving them a width of 280px and 160px instead of 300px and 180px.
The sidebars take their width from the functions so they cannot just change from the css...
how do you suggest doing a moderation like that? can you help with some coding?
note: i want the new sizes to show in the magazine options for the sidebar widths

Peculiar problem with adding widgets in the side bar

My site runs on wp 3.3.1 on MB 2.7.7. I am facing a peculiar problem in that I am unable to add widgets in the side bars. When I click the 'save' button the icon keeps on spinning but the widget not getting saved. I wonder whether anyone else is facing the same problem and what is the remedy? Please help.

Header Not Changing

I'm having a hard time changing my header which I haven't had a problem with before. When I go into appearance, then the magazine basic editor, and then go to the header and footer tab, I copy the image url (which I've done and has worked before) and after I save it doesn't change. Is there a code where I can change my header successfully?

Drop Caps missing on front page

When using drop caps created by shortcodes (as several WP plugins do), those drop caps get removed when displaying posts on the front page, but are intact when displayed as single posts.
A quick look at the generated HTML shows the style entry in the page header is still intact, but the whole span enclosing the first letter inside the post excerpt is gone. It seems like it gets stripped-off by some processing script.
When trying with some other themes (e.g. TwentyEleven 1.3) the drop caps remain intact.
Any pointers where to look for a solution in Mag Premium very welcomed!

Problems With Right Sidebar

Hello,

I just switched my site to Magazine Basic, and love it! I am just having one problem that I can't figure out how to solve. I would like the sidebars to appear on either side of the page, but when I have it set to this option the second sidebar just disappears. Strangely, when I change the setup to having both sidebars next to each other on the left side, that works fine. But when I change the setup to having them both next to each other on the left side, neither of them appear! I'd really like to have them appear on opposed sides of the page.....can you help?

Design Options and how to adjust widget backgrounds

I know that Magazine Basic no longer offers the Design Options, but I am not sure what code I am supposed to put where. My site is www.regrettablesincerity.com and yesterday there were all sorts of server problems that caused the site to basically melt and revert to the most basic layout. Here is an image of what I want it to look like and the way it looked for three years (under Magazine Basic 2.0, as I was afraid to update it for this very reason): http://imageupload.org/?d=EF0242641 Basically, white backgrounds on the widgets and menus, but a few other options as well.

I appreciate any help you can offer.

I am trying to insert images into the site but I can't seem to adjust the size of them like I could before I used Magazine Columns plugin. Please can you explain how to do this. I'm using magazine premium and I've got all static pages. Every page shows the word "Author" underlined in the lower left on a gray background. I have not been able to find the magic incantation to make it stop. I've got author and date turned off on the pages as far as I can see. Any suggestions or directions?

I'm guessing this would be in header.php but I'm not sure which two lines it would go between...could you please advise.

Mr Bavota kindly emailed this to me..."Resave the settings under the Layout Options -> Ad Space tab."

I have layout options but nowhere can I find the Ad Space tab.

Could someone direct me please.
