Child theme not pulling navigation menu
  • sandraellanesandraellane February 2

    I’ve set up a bare bones child theme for MP. At this point is only has style.css, and in that file, only the following:

    /*
    Theme Name: magazine-premium Child Theme
    Description: Child Theme based on magazine-premium
    Template: magazine-premium
    Version: 1.0
    */

    @import url("../magazine-premium/style.css");

    I customized my menu in the Wordpress panel to use pages (no categories). Right now it has a Home page, and an About page which has sub-navigation menus. This works when my theme is set to the MP parent. When I switch to the MP child them, the navigation bar displays categories rather than pages. How to fix?

    When you switch it to the child theme you need to reset the menu.

    Oh, gotcha, thanks.
